This morning my mom shared wt us
how she met my dad 54yrs ago in Wickham United Kingdom
on a warm summer Saturday evening.
They first met in a hospital where she was undergoing training.
My dad was dressed in his British Naval suit with an umbrella in his hand and a cap in another.
Just like a scene out of the movie Pearl Harbor,
thats what i thought to myself.
Today they celebrate their 50th anniversary.
I pray to Allah that all of our marriages will last as long if not more
and may Allah bestow upon us from our spouses
and our offsprings the coolness of our eyes
and make us leaders for the Muttaqun.
